Starting in 1999 Tokyo Disneyland had Get the Fever running in their Enchanted Tiki Room.  This show replaced the original Tropical Serenade.  After Stitch took over the park in 2007 he decided to stay on and the room was once again rethemed to Stitch Aloha e Komo Mai in 2008.

In the Camp Minnie Mickey section of Disney's Animal Kingdom you'll find the Festival of the Lion King. In Hong Kong Disneyland in Adventureland you'll find their version of the Festival of the Lion King (check out MMCTV EP0110 to watch their show). In Disneyland Paris, deep in the heart of Discoveryland is the Videopolis Theater. There you will find the third incarnation of the Lion King. Their version is called The Legend of the Lion King. Each version tells a similar story but are all different from each other. The two Fesitvals are done in the round while Legend is done in a more traditional stage setting. This is the third of three parts I'll be sharing my memories of Mousefest 2007. The videos will cover the entire trip from departure in Honolulu to departure in Orlando. While you don't quite get it all (I have 18 hours of video) you'll get a sampling of what a time Mousefest is between Mousefest activities and activities at the Walt Disney World Resort itself. We'll ride roller coasters, boats, and monorails. We'll interact with Streetmosphere (love ya Rosie!)and find out about werewolves! See the coolest audio-anamatroic in the whole world, visit with some neighbors in the Disney neighborhood, check out resorts, watch a bazillion parades and lighting of gazillions of beautiful lights, see story tellers around Epcot and experience several magical moments during the trip. This video covers my last day on the trip after the official end of Mousefest. For me, this has been the best day ever that I spent at a Disney park. It was a totally relaxed day. Even though I did a lot, it wasn't a totally blow out rushed day. I love the streetmosphere over at Disney MGM Studios, now the Disney Hollywood Studios and some of my funnest experiences are captured here. Starting at the Studios, going over to Epcot and then finishing up at the Polynesian, this was just an awesome day. I hope you enjoyed hanging out with me on my Mousefest 2007 trip experience. Date: Tuesday, December 11, 2007.

I just returned from a trip to Disneyland during the Christmas season. After being to both locations for the US parks, Disney is special, but while they are decorated for Christmas and the holidays it's a whole new experience. I would encourage you to check out either Orlando or Anaheim during December. Sharing that experience with other Disney fans during an event like Mousefest just makes you want to go WOW!

Speaking of being with other Disney fans, mark April 30 thru May 3, 2009 to be at the DPN Westfest event at the place where it all started, Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Come out and join your favorite DPN podcasters in the park that Walt himself walked. Hope to see you there!

Video taken in June 2007. At Toyko DisneySEA, there's an attraction that I consider to be one of my favorite attractions across all of the nine Disney parks that I have visited globally. In the Arabian Coast section of the park is Sindbad's Storybook Voyage. It's a boat ride like Pirates of the Caribbean or Small World and some people have compared it to Small World. The comparison ends at it being a boat ride, though. While it might look like small dolls, they are full animatronic figures with great motion capabilities. When Jeff and I visited in June 2007, the ride had just come off of rehab. The imagineers had given the attraction a new storyline. Alan Menken of "Little Mermaid" along with Glen Slater created the song "Compass of your Heart" which follows you throughout your voyage with SIndbad and his loyal tiger cub, Chandu. I was fully captivated by the ride. Mermaids, genies, thugs, giant birds, dancing monkeys...this attraction has it all! It is fully original, the song is catchy, the sets are detailed, and the animatronic figures are amazing (just watch for the belly dancers!). Too bad they didn't sell Chandu plushes.

Before we take the ride, you get to see some of the Oasis area of the Arabian Coast that is next to the Lost River Delta. This area was seen briefly in MMCTV EP0111, Musica Mexicana. Playing in the background is the Port Theme Song for the Arabian Coast which is taken from the Tokyo DisneySEA 5th Anniversary Music Album CD. Produced in association with Frikitiki Productions. Video taken in June 2007. At Toyko DisneySEA, there's an attraction that I consider to be one of my favorite attractions across all of the nine Disney parks that I have visited globally. In the Arabian Coast section of the park is Sindbad's Storybook Voyage. It's a boat ride like Pirates of the Caribbean or Small World and some people have compared it to Small World. The comparison ends at it being a boat ride, though. While it might look like small dolls, they are full animatronic figures with great motion capabilities. When Jeff and I visited in June 2007, the ride had just come off of rehab. The imagineers had given the attraction a new storyline. Alan Menken of "Little Mermaid" along with Glen Slater created the song "Compass of your Heart" which follows you throughout your voyage with SIndbad and his loyal tiger cub, Chandu. I was fully captivated by the ride. Mermaids, genies, thugs, giant birds, dancing monkeys...this attraction has it all! It is fully original, the song is catchy, the sets are detailed, and the animatronic figures are amazing (just watch for the belly dancers!). Too bad they didn't sell Chandu plushes. Before we take the ride, you get to see some of the Oasis area of the Arabian Coast that is next to the Lost River Delta. This area was seen briefly in MMCTV EP0111, Musica Mexicana. Playing in the background is the Port Theme Song for the Arabian Coast which is taken from the Tokyo DisneySEA 5th Anniversary Music Album CD. After it was announced in October 2007 that The Walt Disney Company was going to build a new Disney Vacation Club resort in Hawaii, Joel went out to the site in Oahu and took some video of the plot of land and surrounding area so you can see where the resort is going to be built. Well....This is the footage and give you a little tour. If you happened to have seen Joel's Chief Magic Official video entry, there is some footage of the area in that video too. In the video the degrees, minutes and seconds coordinated are given so you can put them into Google Earth and get a satellite view. Here's hoping that they put in an Adventures Club into the resort. Give it a South Pacific theme and boo-ya, we might have a winner!

During the same time frame the Lion King touring company was in Hawaii for a 13 week run (according to Disney this was the longest stay in any one city for one of the traveling tour companies) and they put some of the masks from the show on public display outside of the area of the concert hall where they were performing. You'll get to see them up close.

We make a short stop into the exhibit in the Opera House. What was interesting about the display is that Disney is a new entity in that part of the world. While we grew up with Disney, they didn't so the Opera House is set up to tell guests about Disney the man and the Company. You'll see the two shows and some of the displays inside. There was a lot of talk on the Meandering Mouse Podcast about the Tokyo Disneyland Stitch park overlay that happened during the MM crew's trip to the Tokyo Disney Resort in June. Well, this episode of Meandering Mouse Club TV presents the centerpiece attraction of the Summer 2007 celebration at Tokyo Disneyland. Join Stitch and all his friends in the Huli Huli Bash Parade at Tokyo Disneyland. Tokyo takes it's themed park events very serious and this special parade gives you a taste of these special happenings which occur year round at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Starting along Main Street USA and heading into Fantasyland, take in the sights before heading over to Adventureland that has been captured and over run by pirates. See how the pirates have "decorated" the place now that they now control. Maybe a jungle river cruise will relax us first before we attempt to get past more pirates to get back to the safety of Main Street USA.
